Clinical Internship

Happy Nest Psychotherapy is proud to offer an evidence based, clinical training program designed specifically for master’s level therapists seeking immersive experience to complete their practicum and internship requirements.

HPN’s program is ideal for therapists-in-training who are passionate about providing high-quality mental health services and are eager to learn in a supportive, yet challenging, environment.

  • Happy Nest Psychotherapy’s clinical internship program is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of mental health professionals by providing a supportive and enriching environment for experiential learning and professional growth. Guided by our commitment to excellence, cultural humility, and holistic care, we aim to equip interns with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to deliver compassionate, evidence-based therapy to diverse populations.

    Our goal is not only to help you grow your clinical skills but also to foster your professional development, empowering you to build a strong foundation for a successful and fulfilling career in mental health.

  • This is an ideal opportunity:

    A graduate-level master’s student:

    • seeking experience and to advance their clinical skills in a group private practice setting.

    • interested in having a hybrid schedule that allows for both virtual and in-person clinical experiences.

    • expand their clinical competence regarding working BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and non-monogamous folks. 

    • interested in working with young adults throughout adulthood.

    • interested in working with specific issues such as: perinatal mental health, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and life transitions.

    All clinical interns are brought on with the possibility of future employment after their internship.

    • 10-20 hours per week

    • Case load of 5-10 clients

    • Run group therapy and individual sessions

    • Assist in the creation and implementation of HNP workshops and volunteer opportunities as they arise

    • Maintain all required documentation

    • Participate in weekly individual and group clinical supervision 

    • Consultation calls, scheduling, marketing and community outreach

    • Contribute monthly to HPN blog and social media

  • We currently accept applications for internship on a rolling admission basis.
